1- What is a private service?

A private service is an exclusive transportation option tailored just for you. You can select both the departure time and location, as well as your destination. This service adapts to your travel needs, and you can request stops along the way as needed.


2- Are there special seats for children or babies?

Yes! We provide booster seats and baby carriers for children at no additional cost. It's very important that you select your required device when booking. In Costa Rica, it's mandatory by law for babies and children under 10 years of age to travel in appropriate safety seats

3- I have not received any email confirmation. What should I do?

This is usually related to spam filtering. Please check your junk/spam folder and verify that you entered your email address correctly. If you still don't see your confirmation, please contact a Costa Rica by Shuttle representative who will resend your confirmation email.

4- How can I change or cancel a reservation?

To modify or cancel a reservation, please contact our customer support department at support@costaricabyshuttle.com or call +506 4100 0888.

5- Do I have to print my booking confirmation?

No, printing your booking confirmation is not necessary. Our driver will arrive at your meeting point as stated in your confirmation.

6- Can I pay cash?

For security reasons, we do not accept cash payments. All reservations must be paid for before your service date.

7- What if I can't find my destination or pickup location?

We strive to offer many private services and coverage areas, but if you can't find your location, please contact our customer support department at support@costaricabyshuttle.com or call +506 4100 0888. We'll be happy to adjust our service to meet your needs.

8- Can you pick me up at the Juan Santamaría International Airport?

If you're traveling from SJO airport to a destination outside of San Jose, your pickup spot will be the Malinche restaurant, located just outside the airport on the right side of the arrivals area. Please arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time.

9- How can I find my transportation at the airport (Transfer In)?

For SJO airport pickups, please go to the Malinche restaurant located just outside the airport on the right side of the arrivals area. Be cautious of vendors in the hallway; we recommend not stopping to talk with them. If you can't find our representative, please contact us immediately by phone or email.

10- How will I find the shuttle at my hotel?

Our driver will arrive at the lobby or reception area, identify themselves, and ask for passengers by name. Once found, they'll escort you to the vehicle and assist with your luggage.

11- Can you pick me up at the Daniel Oduber International Airport in Liberia?

If you're traveling from Liberia airport (Daniel Oduber airport), your pickup location will be the Britt Cafe, located just outside the airport on the right side of the arrivals area.

12- What is the capacity of the vehicles?

Costa Rica by Shuttle uses 15-passenger vehicles that have been modified to comfortably transport 9 people, allowing for greater comfort. We also have vehicles with a capacity for 4 passengers. 13- Do the vehicles have bathrooms?

There are no bathrooms on board our vehicles. However, for longer journeys, we make one or two rest stops lasting about 15 minutes each. These stops are at pre-approved restaurants with clean bathroom facilities.
